“Have You Ever Held A Government Official Accountable To The Laws Of Their Duties?”

Colorado People’s News attended the ‘No Kings‘ charade parade in Denver at the Colorado State Capitol on October 18, 2025 to take a poll if attendees had ever held a government official accountable to the laws of their duties.  The crowd was very large, possibly 30,000.  Denver Police and Colorado State Patrol blocked off traffic and escorted attendees on the parade route.  In addition, there were politicians that protect oligarchs with crime in attendance.  Both of these factors prove that this was not a protest and held no demands for anyone being protested against.  The term ‘No Kings‘ has no substance to it.  It was a deflection to have people focus on President Donald Trump’s theater in lieu of anything of substance or meaning and certainly no demands to correct actions. There could have been many items to focus an actual protest on.

There could have been about the multiple ICE abuses of laws and rights and a demand to stop those abuses, but King Jared Polis has assisted them multiple times including his violating laws he signed. That may have been why many where there, but it wasn’t about that. It could have been amount many things of substance that people have a very legitimate complaint about, but it wasn’t about any of that. It was about the imaginary ‘No Kings’. The previous ‘No Kings’ in June was funded by Queen Christy Walton, who has never worked a day in her life. This one seemed to be funded by King George Soros who hasn’t worked in a few decades at the very least.

The Insider Trading Queen of the United States ripping up her . . . paper crown for her ‘No Kings’ performance in Washington D.C. Doesn’t get more vapid or empty of substance than that.

The poll was taken to gauge the seriousness of people upset about either a possibility of a king or thinking that a king is ruling over the country, state, or city currently. Obviously, the poll found great contradictions to the charade parade.  It is a poll that will be continued at other political events of different persuasions and meeting people on the street in general.  The crowd at ‘No Kings‘ was predominantly liberal Democrat, but conservatives including a man with a tricornered hat who said he was from the original Tea Party in 2010, independents, communists had a tent there, and many liberals were all polled.

State Representative of House District 2, Steven Woodrow lied that he ever held a government official accountable to the laws of their duties. When asked, he replied that he held himself accountable. I pushed back with asking him if he followed the Sunset Review law, C.R.S. 24-34-104. At that moment, he recognized me and lied again stating that he followed the law while walking away to stop the conversation in cowardice. We’ll do an exposé of his very long rap sheet at sometime down the road. He was marked as a BIG NO in the poll.

Didn’t ask Denver Mayor Mike Johnston the poll question because I had asked him if he was going to follow laws at 2 of his town halls. I had explained at both of those town halls that he controlled the most criminal, most racist, and most misogynist general contractor licensing in the country. It mirrors New York City’s crimes. Again, he didn’t answer if he would follow laws. He is after all an attorney. He asked me to send details of the illegalities. Problem is that he’s violating my 1st Amendment free speech rights and 4th Amendment rights to petition government for redress by blocking my email address from all city communications.

The poll had guidelines. In order to be counted as a yes, the polled person could not include one of the following excuses:

  • The polled had to name the statute and the official that was being held accountable to the laws of their duties.  Most who initially replied that they had held a government official accountable to the laws of their duties recanted when asked to supply the statute and name of the official. Colorado Political Worker’s Guild spokesperson and Legislative Aide to Representative of House District 18 (Amy Paschal of Colorado Springs), Tom Byron said that he holds government officials accountable to the laws of their duties all the time as a member of the Political Worker’s Guild. Had to ask “What statutes?” a couple of times before Mr. Byron finally replied, ‘No statutes, just wish they were.’ The guy literally works sees law violations and assists to violate law for a living.
  • Others replied with the fact that vote. Voting is not holding anyone accountable. It’s been quite obvious for at least the last 40 to 50 years we are simply recycling criminals at all levels and all offices. Out with the bad, in with the bad only benefits the donors that bribe both parties. Voting is at best the Criminal Recycling Program of two parties who share the same oligarch donors, who demand change not only issues, but violate law to achieve an economic advantage over you.  Those who said they used the Criminal Recycling Program were immediately placed in the no column.
  • Other disqualifications included yelling at concrete.  Some tried to pass their presence at ‘No Kings‘ as a form of holding Trump accountable, but he wasn’t there, no duties were stated, and no demands were made. There was no accountability. In order to hold one to account, a standard of some sort such as a law must be used. No one cited any statutes there.

As long as all arguments stay contained to issues and don’t including violating law, the elitists will continue to win and the rest of will get crumbs at best.

Examples that counted as a yes varied from the following:

  • Filing lawsuits;
  • Publishing on a government official’s social media page with citing the law and a demand to stop violating that law. This way they know and the public knows and there is a demand; telling them to their faces in public that they violated laws;
  • Telling officials at town hall meetings of their law violations and ordering them to stop. You are after all, their boss no matter how much they don’t like that reality.
  • Sending them records requests asking for proof of their following statutes and posting those responses on to social media. If they stated they have no records of following a law, then that is most likely an admission of guilt of violating the law. For example, if you send an email for Colorado Open Records Act to osa.ga@coleg.gov or State Auditor kerri.hunter@coleg.gov or her Executive Assistant jayne.watson@coleg.gov for an audit that magically seems to be missing or intentionally incomplete, and they respond within the mandatory 3 days that they have no records from the last 2 years or periodically for performance/legal audits, then you have an admission that the State Auditor and the Legislative Audit Committee are violating laws of their duties. You can find audits of the last 17 years at this link, https://leg.colorado.gov/audit-search?search_api_views_fulltext=&field_report_type=All&field_department=All&sort_bef_combine=search_api_relevance+DESC. There used to be audits dating back to 2000 on this page. Previous to 2008, must be requested directly. Where the auditor does not go is where the biggest crimes are being hidden.
  • Catching them in the act of violating law during committee hearings or council meetings and pointing it out at that time. Their lawlessness happens more often than we realize.

Calls to their offices, letters, emails are generally ineffective as they ignore many constituent’s issues and demands. A good way to ensure your issues demands are read is to also include a request for records. They have to respond to requests for records. This makes them read your entire email.

Some polled stated they did these actions regularly, but never cited a statute.

Results of this poll, future articles, & a small sampling of law violations are as follows:

2 – Yes

One was a retired journalist from Oregon who said she wrote at least one story holding a government official accountable.  She said it was years ago and had forgotten the Oregon statute she cited in her article.

This is not going to happen at any of the large corporate media outlets in Colorado today.  The corporate media outlets are bought by DORA, the State Treasurer, and the General Assembly. The bribes are written into statute C.R.S. 24-34-108. Since 2008, the ‘Slush Fund To Hush‘ the corporate media has taken fines collected by the Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) and gives them via the State Treasurer who manages the ‘Slush Fund To Hush‘ to the large corporate media for the purpose of hushing them on massive crimes inside DORA and any support to hide those crimes including the following facts:

No audits by the Colorado State Auditor of any regulatory boards since 2003.  The last 2 were the Bankers board controlled by the corporation, American Bankers Association and the Medical Board controlled by the American Medical Association.  CPAs (CPA Society corporation) and Architects (American Institute of Architects corporation) Boards have never been audited in their 120 and 116 years of existence, respectively.  This is in grotesque violation of C.R.S. 2-3-103, which states that all State agencies must be financially audited biennially and performance audits periodically, including legal audits. The State Auditor works directly for the bicameral and bipartisan Legislative Audit Committee, a year round committee that rotates chairs between the 2 major parties. This is the committee where the worst criminals of the General Assembly are placed. They protect the crimes by the State since the State Auditor has a legal duty per statute to report law violations to the Colorado Attorney General and the District Attorney where the law violation occurred. Never mind that those offices don’t come close to following the laws of their duties either. More on the crimes and protection of more crime from those offices in coming articles.

Here are the worst criminals of the Legismobster of Colorado:

The current 2025 Legislative Audit Committee of the General Assembly of the State of Colorado. Previous Chair was current Vice Chair and CPA, LIsa Frizell

No Governor, State Representative, State Senator, or DORA employee has come close to following the Sunset Review statute, C.R.S. 24-34-104 since at least 1992 and likely dating back to 1976 when the law was created.  The Sunset Review law is a check on the corporate controlled boards at DORA and other State departments. There will be many deep dives explaining this law and how they all violate it in future articles.

With the corporate media, the State Auditor, and their criminal selves, the General Assembly has kept any that would have oversight on their duties hushed to hide their crimes and the Governor’s too. They have earned the name, The Legismobster. That takes a lot of intraparty coordination.

The other person that said, “Yes” to the pool question is an attorney who stated that he has sued using the Colorado Government Immunity Act.  This is a statute stating what actions and injuries a person cannot sue the government for.  It does not get at the core corruption and crimes of today’s problems, but it was counted as a yes in the poll because it met the criteria.

Another attorney said she did hold government officials simply because she was an attorney.  She couldn’t cite a statute she had used to hold a government official accountable.  A great majority of attorneys do not hold government officials accountable.  They make more money by going with the system than cleaning up the crime that the system has become.

105 – No

There were no citizens polled in their private lives that had in the entirety of their lives ever held a government official accountable to the laws of their duties.  Yet, every elected official is violating laws of their duties for money. If America is to ever get out of the spiral that is in, citizens are going to have to rise up to stop the lawlessness of politicians and the very wealthy and licensed professionals that protect the very wealthy.

To get a sense of the level of rot that is inside state and local governments, Colorado People’s News will publish a story soon on Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment’s (CDPHE) Shelley Sanderman who is an attorney licensed in Colorado who testified under oath in Denver District Court on an exhibit of an email of statutes that explained CDPHE’s not following led to deaths. Her response to that email exhibit while under oath, “Those are just statutes.” She and CDPHE not following those statutes led to deaths. To date, no one who violated those laws at CDPHE has been held accountable for what they did.

Even if you only read your state statutes, municipal codes, or Federal codes and regulations for 5 minutes each month and send at least one records request a month to verify if they are following the laws of their duties, you will be making a big difference. Imagine if the ~30,000 people that attended the ‘No Kings‘ charade parade actually held their government officials accountable to the laws of their duties. We would live in a much better world.
